A warm welcome and great food. I booked late and discovered a gem. Well kept landlord in the bar and fine venison in the restaurant. Staff were attentive and even though it was freezing outside it was toasty on the inside. The room was clean, the bed comfortable and a restful night was had. I had breakfast by and open fire whilst I browsed the complimentary morning papers. A fine relaxing start to a busy day. Thanks all. A pleasure to stay with you. I will be back soon.
We went for lunch at this pub on a Saturday. The restaurant was heaving with people, despite it being the week after the New Year. Thankfully we had booked a table. We were seated in the extension to the restaurant/pub and our drinks order was taken promptly. I ordered one of their cask ales made on the premises. Very good too.Service was very good, prompt ordering and attentive staff ensured we were not kept waiting.
We spent last night at The Bull's nye party.We had such a lovely evening, everything was perfect. The staff in particular were so friendly and attentive, brilliant DJ too. Amazing value.We'll definitely be going again.
Managed to secure a last minute booking for Sunday lunch after original plans had gone awry. So glad that plans changed - lunch was absolutely excellent. Great food and service in lovely surroundings. Can't recommend highly enough!
